ADVANCED TRAINING

Designed for interior crew members wishing to fine tune their skills.

Three days: Monday to Wednesday (9,00 am to 6,00 pm).
Participants: Min 4.
Price: € 1.000,00 including taxes, VAT exempt (including board and abode).

Yacht Academy ADVANCED TRAINING is addressed to those who have previously experienced working in the luxury yachting industry and wish to fine tune their skills to achieve a higher standard of competence and specialisation.
The course will spread over a three-day period, it will be carried out at our premises and it will include stages onboard a luxury motor yacht, located at the port of Genoa.
Participants will learn and undertake all aspects of specific duties, roles and responsibilities usually required by Chief Steward/ess position, such as crew management, and will deep their techniques through lectures and a consistent daily practice.
Slides and paperwork templates will be shown and integrated with the teaching of a correct English terminology and onboard wording, in order to establish a necessary feedback.
External teachers will focus on an in-depth development of issues such as Silver Service, wine service and storage, flower arranging and care of plants.

An attendance certificate will be handed at the end of the course, after the theory and practice examinations will have been undertaken by the candidates.

Course participants’ will have the opportunity of having their data entered into our database, to the extent of researching and offering positions onboard
sailing or motor yacht.

Personal grooming – Etiquette – Welcome on board – Chief Stew role and daily duties – Responsibilities – Provisioning – Inventories – Crew rotas – Crew management skills – Buffet settings – Table settings – Silver Service techniques – Napkin folding – Wine service and storage – Cocktail / long drink preparation and service – Daily cleaning of premises – Laundry procedures – Wardrobe handling – Household Appliances: functioning and maintenance – flower arranging and care of plants – Unexpected event handling – Theoretical and practical test of an individual’s general autonomy.
